One of the best ways to enjoy the daytime heat of Austin during months of May till October, is to go out and explore the Barton Springs. It is located downtown at the middle of a park. The place is very cool and the pool is filled with refreshing water coming from the beautiful natural spring. There are many ways to enjoy the heat of Austin, and the following are some activities which you can do in Barton Springs.
If you have a dog that adores the outdoors as much as you do, then it’s time to freshen them up as well. There are two dams that surround the pool area and beyond that eastern-downstream dam is a Barking Springs where your dog and all other pets can play, get wet, and run free. This is one of the best ways for your dog to beat the summer heat.
While your dog enjoys his own time in the Barking Springs, you can also find some time to enjoy a really nice and cool plunge in the 1000-foot pool of Barton Springs. If you think getting there is expensive, then you must know that the entrance fees are very affordable.
After that refreshing swim, you can also explore the park and see endangered species of salamanders. They can be found in the Eliza of Barton Springs which is being surrounded by a stairs of steps much like an amphitheater which leads down to a body of water for the rare salamanders.
