The state of Texas lies along the beautiful Gulf of Mexico which is south of the United States. As a state, the climate can be relatively warm. Austin is one of the biggest cities in Texas and is the state’s capital. It is a very nice place and one of the most family oriented, inexpensive, and peaceful cities to live in. Aside from being a beautiful city, the seasonal pattern is also generally tolerable.
Austin remains to have great weather since it is very near to the Gulf of Mexico which pose a huge impact. The land is between 400-1,000 feet above sea level where the Balcones Escarpment meets the Colorado River. The weather considered to be humid subtropic since it does not freeze the city very often but it generally stays nice and warm. The winters are usually mild and the summers are generally hot.
Austin rarely has cold weathers but has cold spells that commonly lasts not more than a day or two. The temperature rarely falls below 48 degrees with only about 25 days of freezing conditions in a year. The spring season has annual rainfall of about 13.35 inches which most probably falls from the months of May until September with little or no thunderstorms during April.
Summer in Austin can have temperatures that averages to 82.8 degrees. The summer season can be truly defined because of its hot conditions. Though the daytime may be hot, the nights can be really cool and quite pleasant. Due to its proximity to the Gulf of Mexico, the humidity has an average of 67%.
